An unidentified assailant killed a policewoman and seriously wounded a traffic supervisor in Paris Thursday morning.
Initial reports said the attacker shot at them from within his vehicle and sped off after the police officers arrived following a traffic accident.
The attacker is known to police. He was masked, was wearing a protective vest and was armed with a semi-automatic rifle.
The attack does not appear to be linked to yesterday’s savage and professional military attack that left 12 dead and 11 wounded, but the shooting has deepened the trauma gripping France.
The two terrorists still-at-large after Wednesday’s attacks reportedly have been located and are armed.
Criminal motives in today’s report have not been ruled out, but the similarity of the methods in yesterday’s and today’s attacks are chillingly similar.
