The IDF confirmed Wednesday night that three paratrooper combat soldiers and officers were killed in the morning when Hamas terrorists set off remote-controlled explosives in a house that was being searched in Khan Yunis, near the ruins of destroyed Gush Katif communities in central Gaza.

Fifteen other soldiers were wounded, and three of them are in serious condition.

The death toll of IDF soldiers and officers since the beginning of the Protective Edge campaign now is 30, and hopefully that will be the final number.
