Belgian police released this photo of the three suspected ISIS killers; the two on the left are presumed to have been the Brussels airport suicide bombers.

Likewise, those governments all took steps to ramp up security at home, ordering increased police presence at airports, bridges, tunnels, mass transit hubs and high-profile sites around their countries. Eurostar, a high-speed railway traveling between England and France, changed its schedules and cancelled service between London and Brussels.

The American FBI began Tuesday to coordinate its efforts with its Belgian counterparts and other agencies within the United States, as Belgium began a three-day mourning period to mark the tragedy. A spokesperson for Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel told media, “All national flags on public buildings will fly at half-mast through Thursday.”

Tuesday’s attack came four days after Belgian officials arrested the suspected mastermind of the November 13 Islamic State multi-site massacre carried out in Paris; 130 people died in that attack.
