Highway 2, also known as the “Coastal Highway”, was shut down near Netanya, at noon, following an intelligence report of a potential terrorist attack, according to Reshet Bet.

The intelligence indicated that Arab terrorists were on a bus to Hadera, in order to perpetrate a suicide bomb attack in the city.

During their search, police caught 2 illegal Palestinian Authority Arabs on a bus and arrested them.

It was determined that they were not connected to the potential attack and they were subsequently released.

Police also put up roadblocks in this area on Thursday.

Coastal Highway 2 has since been reopened, and the traffic jams are opening up.
