Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon warned late Friday the Palestinian Authority’s “pay to slay” policy of paying the families of Arab terrorists killed while attacking Israelis was behind Friday evening’s stabbing murder of 23-year-old Border Guard Policewoman Hadas Malka, z’l.
Four others were wounded in the double attack carried out by three members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) headed by Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas.
“The payments made by the Palestinian Authority to terrorists and their families encourage heinous attacks like we saw today.
“I call on the Security Council to condemn this terror attack immediately,” Danon said in a statement from New York prior to the start of the Sabbath.
“The Palestinian leadership continues to pledge their support for peace, while making monthly payments to terrorists and educating their children to hate.
“The international community must demand that the Palestinians put an end to these intolerable acts of violence,” the Ambassador said.
