A delegation of Egyptian intelligence officials visiting Gaza will reportedly remain in the enclave at least until Wednesday, according to a report published Saturday by the Al-Akhbar news agency in Lebanon.

That’s the day on which the Palestinian Authority marks the so-called ‘Nakba Day’ – May 15, the secular date of the establishment of the State of Israel – which Arabs refer to as the “Catastrophe.”

The Egyptian mediators plan to stay in an attempt to maintain calm in Gaza, and prevent another military escalation against Israel.
