An Iranian-backed “errant” terrorist group was allegedly responsible for the advanced Grad missile attacks fired from Gaza at Israel early Wednesday morning, according to the IDF.

The group is a radical faction that once was part of Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah faction, Ynet reported.

This was the group that was attacked by Israeli fighter pilots at around 8:40 am in northern Gaza as members of its terror cell were launching a rocket at the Ashkelon Coastal Region.
