Visitors to the Western Wall in Jerusalem will see construction in progress beginning this week and continuing into the near future, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation announced.
“Essential maintenance work” started Sunday as part of the “ongoing development and enhancement” of the Western Wall Plaza, the foundation said, adding that planned work will include strengthening and stabilizing structures as well as improving infrastructure.
“These efforts aim to enhance the experience for visitors and worshippers while ensuring the safety of those at the site,” the foundation said.
“We apologize in advance for any temporary inconvenience caused to visitors and worshippers during this work. The Foundation appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation in preserving and developing this important site.”
