Fatah, the Palestinian Authority’s ruling party, has chosen to use its new Facebook page to continue broadcasting its anti-Israel hostility.
Fatah announced the launch of its official Facebook page in the official PA newspaper, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, on February 1. It celebrated the launch by posting a message depicting the 8 terrorists who perpetrated the Savoy Hotel terror attack in Tel Aviv on in 1975, which killed 11 Israelis. The text read: “The Tel Aviv operation, March 6, 1975. The Palestinian passage to the homeland.” Under each terrorist’s picture is his name and the words, “The heroic Shahid (Martyr).”
The site also displays a map in which all of Israel is labeled “Palestine.”
Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) first reported on and translated the ‘moderate’ Palestinian leadership’s most recent foray into anti-Israel incitement. Last month, the PA was condemned for a television broadcast in which the family of one of the Itamar massacre terrorists glorified him as a “legend” and a “hero”, and for the invocation by the PA mufti in Jerusalem of a Muslim text calling for the killing of Jews.
