The Prime Minister has called upon all Knesset Members to work on calming the atmosphere around the Temple Mount and to show responsibility. The Prime Minister spoke with the Knesset Speaker to work towards that effect.
The Prime Minister apparently believes that the escalating Muslim violence and rhetoric around the Temple Mount is somehow in Israel’s hands, and not in the hands of Hamas and Islamic Jihad (or the PA for that matter).
Deputy Speaker of the Knesset MK Moshe Feiglin announced that he will be going up to the Temple Mount at 8 AM on Sunday, when entry is once again permitted to non-Muslims. Feiglin and other MKs were attending the conference where Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick was shot on on Wednesday night.
The Temple Mount is Judaism’s holiest site.
