Israel’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met Tuesday in Washington.
Not known for their warm rapport, the two did not speak to reporters in a brief photo opportunity before their meeting at the State Department.
Lieberman is also scheduled to meet with several prominent members of Congress, including House Majority Leader John Boehner and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator John Kerry.
Lieberman’s visit comes as the rhetoric between the West and Iran is heating up, and a day after the conclusion of the Fatah-Hamas reconciliation agreement.
