The funeral for First Lady Nechama Rivlin, z’l, has been scheduled to take place late Wednesday afternoon at the Mount Herzl national cemetery in Jerusalem.

The coffin bearing Mrs. Rivlin’s body will be placed at the Jerusalem Theater, where the public is invited to pay their respects between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm, after which the cortege will depart for Mount Herzl, where the funeral is to take place at the Gedolei Ha’Uma (Leaders of the Nation) section of the cemetery, and where eulogies are to be delivered.

The funeral is set for 6 pm and will be broadcast live.

At the request of the family, and “as a mark of their deep appreciate for the concern shown by the citizens of Israel during her illness, the public is invited to participate in both events.”

The president and his family will receive condolence calls (shiva) at the presidential residence in Jerusalem on Thursday, June 6 (Sivan 3) from 10 am to 1 pm, and from 4 pm to 7 pm, and on Friday, June 7 (Sivan 4) from 10 am to 4 pm. Due to security requirements, visitors are requested not to carry firearms, and to restrict themselves to carrying only small bags.
