A mob of Palestinian Arab residents of Gaza managed Monday night to break through the security fence along Israel’s southern border for the second time in less than a week.

The breach was made at a location in the fence that borders the central part of Gaza.

As soon as the rioters broke through the barrier, however, they were surrounded by Israeli military soldiers who fired tear gas at them and pushed them back into Gaza.

The situation was not simple, according to an army spokesperson, who said the rioters repeatedly returned to breach the border. Each time, they were repelled by IDF soldiers, and pushed back into Gaza, according to the army spokesperson.

On Saturday (Oct. 10) approximately 30 Gaza Arabs broke through the security fence along the border with central Gaza.

Soldiers arrested five of the infiltrators and turned them over to security personnel for questioning. The remainder of the mob was forced back into Gaza.
