The man that Hamas claims was hired by Israel to kill a senior Hamas terrorist, Mazen Fuqaha, has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Hamas court.
Fuqaha, the dead Hamas terrorist, was originally sentenced to life for planning a suicide bus bombing in 2002, which murdered nine people. He was released in 2011 as part of the Shalit deal.
After the alleged hitman’s arrest, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said the man confessed and would be executed. Two additional Gazans, whom Hamas say also confessed to assisting the hitman in locating Fuqaha will also be executed.
Haniyeh decrees, and the court implements.
