The closure – a security precaution — is being carried out due to Israel’s national election, which takes place beginning at 7 am Tuesday morning and which will continue throughout the day until 10 pm Tuesday night.

Passage will be possible under humanitarian circumstances, with the approval of the IDF COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories).
