Chairman of the Histadrut Ofer Eini announced today that a general strike will begin on Wednesday in support of contract workers.

The strike is expected to paralyze financial, government, and transportation sectors, with banks, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, buses, railways, and government ministries shutting down. Ben Gurion Airport will be close from 6 am till noon.
