The artwork is displayed in a gallery built of local basalt rock and reclaimed wood on the platform above the bunker-turned-wine cellar.
“Art is our hobby so we placed our gallery right above the bunker. It was infertile ground after all so you can’t plant anything above the bunker, but we are farmers, and farmers never leave land unused,” the Kabalos said.
