A gag order has been released on the arrest and indictment of 30 Palestinian Authority terrorists from the Bethlehem area, where President Barack Obama visited last week.
The defendants, believed to be part of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), were charged with carrying out machine gun and firebomb attacks on Israeli civilians from Kibbutz Migdal Oz, part of the Gush Etzion bloc of Jewish communities. No one was injured in the attacks.
They were arrested in January and February in the village of Beit Fajar in an operation coordinated by Israel’s General Security Service.
The suspects confessed and said they intended to carry out more attacks. Their interrogation led to the discovery of weapons caches.
An Israeli military tribunal indicted the men for the alleged production of arms, attempted murder and conspiring to commit crimes.
