The Israel Air Force bombed a Hamas weapons factory in Gaza early Thursday morning in retaliation for a rocket attack launched by terrorists at Israel from the enclave.

The rocket exploded in southern Israel’s Eshkol Regional Council district.

No one was physically injured in the attack and no property damage was reported.

Hundreds of people are usually forced out of bed in the middle of the night to snatch their sleeping children out of bed and race for shelter each time there is an attack.

Wednesday night this did not happen because the Code Red incoming rocket alert siren did not activate — the IDF deactivated the alarm after assessing the trajectory of the rocket and concluding it would not reach any populated area.

“The rocket attacks emanating from the Gaza Strip put Israeli civilians in harm’s way and endanger entire communities,”IDF Spokesperson Lt. Col. Peter Lerner noted.

“The IDF does not tolerate any attempt to undermine the security of southern Israel. The Hamas terror organization is responsible for [Wednesday’s] attack against Israel”.

Since January, at least eight rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israel under the aegis of Hamas.
