IDF and Border Guard Police captured eight wanted terror suspects late Saturday and early Sunday in Samaria and Judea.
One of the suspects was arrested in a Samaria operation in Jenin, and a second was arrested in Jelazoun, both wanted for violence against civilians and security personnel.
In Judea, two brothers, both wanted suspects were captured in Beit Fajar, north of Kiryat Arba. Two more suspects were arrested in the city Hebron, next to Kiryat Arba, in connection with activities as operatives in the Hamas terror organization.
In the Palestinian Authority village of Samua, in the South Hebron Hills, two more suspects were also captured, including one who is also accused of being a Hamas operative.
All of the suspects were transferred to the Israel Security Agency Shin Bet security personnel for interrogation.
Gaza’s ruling Hamas terrorist group has increasingly built up a presence in Judea and Samaria in hopes of eventually seizing control of these regions as well.
The IDF and Shin Bet domestic intelligence agency has tracked down and dismantled numerous budding Hamas regional headquarters set-ups and at least two established semi-official shadow government networks in Qalkilya and in Shechem, both in Samaria.
