The Israel Defense Forces have demolished the family home of 19-year-old Palestinian Authority terrorist Omar Abu Lila, who carried out a terror attack near the Samaria city of Ariel last month.

The demolition order was signed by IDF Central Command head Major-General Nadav Padan.

The video shows the IDF moving through the village of Al Zawiya, near Bethlehem, on the southern outskirts of Jerusalem, and then blowing up part of the house.

Local sources said the IDF soldiers were met with clashes, but by 2:30 am the forces had completed their work.

Abu Lila attacked and killed 19-year-old Gal Keidan, an IDF soldier who was guarding the Ariel junction in March. A second soldier, Alexander Dvorsky, was injured in the attack, but survived.

Abu Lila then stole a vehicle and drove to the Gitai Avishar junction, where he opened fire. Rabbi Ahiad Ettinger, a 47-year-old civilian and father of 12 tried to stop the attacker. He paid with his life; the rabbi sustained critical injuries that overwhelmed his body’s ability to survive by the next day.

The terrorist was subsequently killed during an arrest operation by IDF soldiers who tracked him down and attempted to take him into custody. Abu Lila opened fire at the forces, and died in the shootout when the soldiers returned fire.
