IDF soldiers seen near the Syrian border in the Golan Heights

The Israel Defense Forces launched a military exercise on Sunday morning in the Golan Heights and in the panhandle of the Galilee.

The exercise is slated to continue throughout the week, with a portion of the time producing the sound of explosions and some movement of security forces throughout the region.

“The exercise was designed in advance as part of the training program for the year 2018 and is intended to maintain the competence and fitness of the military forces,” the IDF Spokesperson said in a statement.
