Snow on Mt. Hermon. April 22, 2019

Just when it was finally opened with some snow for the winter season, Israel’s Hermon mountain was closed today to visitors, by IDF order, and visitors are asked to not even approach the area. The IDF said there are no other special instructions for the Golan Heights.

Israel is concerned that the Iranian regime, or its terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, may attack the tourist filled mountain area in response to the US assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
