The two reservist pilots who died in the crash of their Cobra helicopter overnight are Maj. Erez Flexer, 31 of Haifa and  Lt. Col. Noam Ron, 49, of Oranit, located on the western edge of Samaria.

The Air Force is investigating the cause of the crash, which for the time being is assumed to have been caused by a technical failure.
