An Arab terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier at the Al-Fawwar junction near Kiryat Arab Wednesday morning on the road to Beit Haggai in the Judean hills, and the attacker was shot and later died.
The terrorist was driving on the road where soldiers were stationed near Beit Haggai, and stopped his vehicle to get out and attack the soldier, stabbing him in the throat.
He was shot by other IDF soldiers at the guard post. The 20-year-old terrorist from the Arab village of Al-Fawwar was seriously wounded and was evacuated to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, where he later died.
The soldier, age 20, was treated at the scene before being rushed, still fully conscious, to Sha’are Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. He is listed in serious condition.
