In the period of July through September 2016 (according to annualized trend data), exports of goods (except diamonds, boats and planes) rose 7/1% compared with April through June 2016, according to a statement released by the Central Bureau of Statistics. Imports (except diamonds, boats, planes and energy products) rose 8.1%. The Consumer Price Index rose by 0.4%.
In the period of July-August 2016, compared with May-June 2016 (according to annualized trend data), the Industrial Production Index rose 5.5%. The turnover index for all market sectors except diamonds went up 0.3%.
The only component to go down in those two months was the retail turnover index, by 4.3%.
Unemployment in Israel rose to 4.9% in September, compared with 4.6% in August.
