Update: 5:27 pm – The infiltration alert inside Beit Horon has been cancelled. No one suspicious was found in the town.
The IDF is still searching the areas around the community.
Residents of Beit Horon have been ordered to go indoors and lock their windows and doors due to an infiltration alert. The alert went off at 4:43 pm.
All entrances and exits to and from the town have been cordoned off.
IDF troops are streaming into the area and searches have begun for two unidentified individuals who climbed a security fence near the town, and are suspected to be terrorists. To clarify, this is a security fence located next to the town, but not the security fence for the town.
In 2016, two terrorists hopped the fence, entered the town, and murdered two women.
Beit Horon is located on Highway 443, halfway between Jerusalem and Modi’in, in the Binyamin region.
