Channel 2 reports that the Israel’s cabinet approved the entry of 6 Gunships (helicopters) in the Sinai. The vote to allow them in was done hastily over the telephone, but not fast enough, as Egypt had already sent them the gunships in without waiting for Israeli approval.

Egypt also sent in 60 tanks and 400 armored vehicles.
