For the first time ever, Israel is slated to participate in the world’s largest maritime military exercise later this month.

The Biennial Rim of the Pacific is a multinational Naval Exercise led by the U.S. Third Fleet off the coast of Hawaii and southern California, scheduled from June 27 to August 2.

Brazil, Sri Lanka and Vietnam are the other “first time” newbies in the exercise.

A total of 26 nations are taking part in the drill.
