“We are destined to live side by side. We are partners in the same fate. We don’t just share the land.”

Although Jews and Arabs share that same land, the president pointed out, “We preferred to let fear, hatred, ignorance and hostility navigate relations. We [now] see where hatred has led to: cemeteries and hospitals,” Rivlin said bluntly.
