Police search for a possible shooter inside JFK airport. August 14, 2016

Police evacuated New York’s JFK airport’s Terminal 8 on Sunday night, after multiple reports came in of shots fired inside the terminal. There were also reports of shots heard in Terminal 1.

The first call came in at 9:30 PM (NY Time), and a second call came in at 10:15 PM.

Following searches and an investigation, the Port Authority and the Police say there is no indication that any shots were fired inside the airport.

By 11:30 PM (NY Time), police began reopening the terminal.
