Jordanian authorities have granted permission for use of a drone to search for an Israeli Arab truck driver who went missing this past Thursday after being swept away in a flash flood at Nahal Zin in southern Israel.

Search and rescue personnel have spent the past two days searching for Ayman Jaber of Taibe, but no trace of the missing truck driver has been found.

Because the flood waters could have carried the missing man into Jordan, Israeli officials have requested permission from Jordanian authorities to use a drone to continue the search for him in the Hashemite Kingdom, Ynet reported.

The search will resume on Sunday morning.
