U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has returned to the bench for the first time since her hospitalization and cancer surgery this past December.
The 85-year-old legist participated in a private conference at the Supreme Court on Friday, according to CNBC.

Ginsburg was declared cancer-free after doctors surgically removed a tumor from her lungs. She has had two bouts with other forms of cancer in the past, and emerged free of the disease both times.
The next public session of the Supreme Court – in which Ginsburg is expected to participate – is set for February 19.
