As reported earlier, Israel’s Prison Services was planning on punishing convicted terrorist Marwan Barghouti for publishing an op-ed in the NY Times without permission of the IPS.
Barghouti, who was convicted of murdering 5 people and for his role as head of the Fatah/Tanzim terrorist group, was moved to a solitary confinement cell, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
If he chooses to do so, it will be now easier for Barghouti to eat in the solitary confinement cell without his fellow terrorists noticing that he isn’t hunger striking with them. In 2004, after calling for a hunger strike among his fellow jailed terrorists, the IPS filmed Barghouti secretly eating via a hidden camera.
