Convicted Fatah/Tanzin (Palestinian Authority) terrorist leader Marwan Barghouti was placed in solitary confinement after he smuggled out a letter out from Hadarim prison calling on his followers to use “armed resistance” against Israel, a euphemism for terrorism.
He also called on the PA security forces to stop cooperating with Israel.

On May 20, 2004, Barghouti was convicted of 5 counts of murder, including ordering and organizing the Seafood market attack in Tel Aviv, on March 5, 2002, which killed 3 people and wounded 15 more. He is serving 5 lifetime sentences.
