Shomron motorists report that Highway 55, near Azoun, has been shut down after a Palestinian Authority dump truck filled to the brim with organic manure, spilled all its contents over the eastbound lane of the main Shomron artery leading to Kedumin, on Wednesday night, at 8:20 PM.
Motorists lost control of their vehicles, slipping off the road and into the guard rails, and at least 4 accidents have been reported so far, with minor injuries.
One poor motorcyclist flipped over when he hit the spill and landed helmet first in the pool of excrement that covered the road.
Highway cleanup teams are on scene, though they are unsure how to clean up this massive and very malodorous mess.
The spill appears to have been unintentional, and one motorist told the JewishPress.com, in very graphic detail, how he saw the dump truck losing its contents as it drove down the road, turning the highway into an overflowing toilet with cars slipping and sliding in every direction. He is unsure how he will get the smell out of his car.
The highway is backed up as the police and IDF try to maneuver traffic through the sewage spill.
