Tigerair Terminal 4 at Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne, Australia is closed in response to a “security alert” aimed at the airline.

“We are responding and working with the relevant authorities over a security alert that was directed at Tigerair,” a spokesperson for the airport said.

The terminal was evacuated and a search is being carried out by Victoria Police, the spokesperson said.

Seven incoming flights were due to land at the airport after 9 pm but those schedules have been disrupted by the incident.
