Opposition leader Isaac Herzog has returned home from Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv after an overnight stay Friday night.
Herzog, 56, was taken to the hospital by his driver Friday evening after “feeling unwell” but according to a report broadcast by Army Radio, he did not lose consciousness during the episode.
Doctors suspected he experienced a mild stroke, but the episode passed. He was held overnight for observation and a battery of tests. “I’m happy this is behind me,” he told reporters as he left the hospital.
The MK, who is the leader of the Zionist Union and Labor Party, later tweeted that he was “feeling better” and thanked supporters for their concerns. He also thanked the medical staff. Herzog is the son of former president Chaim Herzog.
