While holding a meeting in the Yesha Council’s (Moetzet Yesha) protest tent this week, Yesha Council leaders were invited in for an evening meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Yesha Council pitched a protest tent outside the prime minister’s office to show their support for the application of immediate sovereignty over the Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria (Yesha).
The meeting with the prime minister lasted about two hours during which the heads of the local municipalities expressed their support for the prime minister and his efforts, emphasizing the importance of applying sovereignty in the coming days, and the dangers if this move is postponed until after the elections.
And on his part, Netanyahu updated the meeting participants on his decision and the steps he’s taken to bring the application of Israeli sovereignty for approval as soon as possible.
It was agreed that direct communications between the Prime Minister’s Office and Yesha Council Chairman David Elhayani, who is also mayor of the Jordan valley regional council, would continue.
