Opposition leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was recovering Sunday evening from a medical procedure to remove kidney stones, according to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem, where the procedure took place.
The procedure was successful, the hospital said.
Netanyahu was said to be in good condition and was slated to released from the hospital early in the evening.

This is not the first time the Opposition leader has had a medical procedure under sedation. Netanyahu had two polyps removed from his large intestine during a routine colonoscopy, also under sedation, in November 2020.
