Prime Minister Netanyahu has been to Sderot numerous times. Here he surveys Gaza from the city, 2010.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blasted the United Nations Security Council Monday for striking a conciliatory tone vis-à-vis Hamas.

During a phone conversation with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, Netanyahu said the United Nations “considers the needs of a murderous terrorist group attacking Israeli civilians without addressing security needs of Israel, including the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip according to the principle already established in the interim agreement with the Palestinians. “

Netanyahu added, “this message does not reference to attacks on Israeli civilians or reference to the fact that Hamas uses the people of Gaza as human shields, and they use the facilities of the United Nations to attack Israeli citizens..”

Finally, Netanyahu added that “Israel accepted the UN proposal three times induce humanitarian – and Hamas broke them all. They continue to shoot even now at civilians. Israel continues to treat the tunnels of terror, this is only the first step disarmament. The international community must work for the demilitarization of Gaza. “
