The three Israeli teens who were apparently kidnapped late Thursday evening from outside Gush Etzion by Palestinian Arab terrorists remain missing, as Israeli authorities continue round the clock searches and investigations in an effort to recover the boys.
A late breaking update by Israeli authorities includes the following information: a mobile phone of one the missing boys has been recovered. Also, the car apparently used for the kidnapping was found. In the car authorities recovered personal belongings of the teens.
The Chief Rabbis of Israel call on Jews worldwide to say tehillim, especially Chapter 121, for the three missing Israeli teens. The three teens are believed to have been kidnapped Thursday evening.
The names to recite are:
Eyal ben Iris Teshurah
Gilad Michael ben Bat Galim
Yaakov Naftali ben Rachel Devorah
Chief Rabbi David Lau published a ruling that all efforts involved in finding the boys is a matter of pikuach nefesh, risk to life, and therefore any and all activities necessary by the security forces are permitted on Shabbat.
Rabbi Lau added “I urge the public to pray for the missing boys and for the soldiers involved, adding a chapter of Tehillim (Psalms) for safety and security.
The Sephardic Chief Rabbi Amar urged all Jewish women to light an additional Shabbat candle and to pray for the safe return of the boys during candle lighting.
HaGaon Shalom Cohen has called for everyone to pray for the safety of the 3 boys and for the soldiers attempting to find them.
If the boys are not yet found by the end of Shabbat, there will be a massive prayer rally at the Kotel, starting at 10:30 p.m. at the Psalms Gate.
Please keep the following thoughts in mind: the teens missing are human beings, they are students, they are sons and friends. Most of the media, including Israeli media, insists on referring to them as “settlers.” In addition, the fact that the boys were believed to have been hitchhiking when they were kidnapped does not mean they “deserve” what happened. Genocidal terrorists kidnap human beings to use as bargaining chips. Those terrorists are the ones solely to blame.
