The government has bought more than 1,000 new riot-protection kits to help soldiers and police deal with terrorists armed with different kinds of weapons,. Israel Defense reported.
Lior Textile Company designed the modular kits. They were tested for several months and have been approved by a laboratory in Europe, where standards are very high. Security personnel now are using the kits in “live tests.”
Israel Defense reported:
One of the options offered by the modular design of the kit is the option of using it in different combat situations, as it may be adapted and used in conjunction with bullet and knife proof protective vests supplied by the same company.
The kit includes all of the protective elements for all parts of the user’s body, as well as purpose-designed flame-resistant coveralls (providing protection against Molotov cocktails) made from Nomex fabric by DuPont.
