Ramallah-based Fatah leader and Palestine Liberation Organization Chairman Mahmoud Abbas still leads the faltering Palestinian Authority "unity government," which includes Gaza's ruling Hamas terrorist organization.

Has Chief Palestinian Holocaust Denier Abu Mazen asked the United Nations to downgrade “Palestine’s” status at the world body in favour of creating a UN protectorate?

In an almost inconceivable move, Abu Mazen – known on the banks of the East River as “the president of the State of Palestine” – has sent a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, asking for Judea, Samaria and Gaza – areas the Palestinians supposedly want for an independent state- to be placed “under an international protection system.”

Ironically, however, Abu Mazen also refer both to “West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip on the 167 borders, which constitutes the internationally recognized self -determination unit of the Palestinian people” (apparently, the “occupation” prevents Palestinian leaders from avoiding run-on sentences).

Ban Ki-Moon said he would take the letter under consideration with his team of advisors.
Analysts for U.S. Fox News said Abu Mazen’s letter “is evidently intended as a further stage in the Palestinian diplomatic offensive to wrap itself as much as possible in the U.N.’s blue-and-white flag to further isolate Israel and advance Palestinian recognition, as well as bring an end to the current ground offensive aimed at wiping out Hamas rocket and tunnel infrastructure.”
