Police have scrambled to the streets in Paris after shots fired by a single gunman Thursday afternoon, local media reported.
Witnesses said the shots were heard near the corner of Rue Bichat and Rue du Faubourg, on the Right Bank.
Police cordoned off the area and were questioning one man, who was placed in the back seat of a patrol car.
It is unclear at this point who the shooter was and what was his or her motive.
