Tim Remington, an Idaho pastor who spoke Saturday at a rally for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, was shot on Sunday, Mar. 6.
Remington gave the invocation at Cruz’s Coeur d’Alene, Idaho rally on Saturday. He and Cruz prayed together, eyes closed and heads bowed. Cruz then delivered a fiery speech which included a denunciation of radical Islam and Donald Trump to around 3,000 supporters, according to the local Spokesman-Review.
Remington was shot in his church parking lot on Sunday, after leading services. He was shot at least six times, according to the Washington Post, and at least once in the head.
The shooter is believed to be Kyle Andrew Odom, 30, and remains at large. Odom was observed on surveillance video in a car across the street, waiting for Remington to come out of his church. The shooter is considered armed and dangerous.
Remington is expected to recover.
