“The real problems in the Middle East are starvation, unemployment and lack of dignity,” President Shimon Peres told the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations Monday.

“We are interested in seeing the Arab world in a better situation, finding answers to poverty and discrimination,” he added.

President Peres continued to look at the “peace process” through rose-colored glasses and ignored the attempts by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to re-unite with the Hamas terrorist organization.

He explicitly stated that if Israel does not peace with the PA, Israelis would become “victims of the terror organizations, Hamas and Hizbullah, or Iran. Each of us would like to live in peace.”
