Police blocked the entrance of dozens of residents of South Tel Aviv into the Cinemateque where a group of left-wing NGOs were discussing how to further assist the illegal infiltrators living in Israel.
The Israeli residents were protesting outside the Cinemateque where the discussions were happening, as they see the illegal infiltrators as a danger to their neighborhood, which has become a popular final destination for many illegals.
Numerous South Tel Aviv residents have reported being harassed by the infiltrators, crime has risen, and there have been a number of high-profile rapes, including of the elderly, committed by the illegals.
The residents view the NGOs as helping and enabling the illegals to stay in their neighborhood through money, legal advise, and general support.
