Police released a video on Monday of officers removing barricades Arabs had placed at the open doors of the Al Aqsa mosque that were placed so rioters could shoot and throw rocks at officers and Jews Monday morning.
The large police force surprised the rioters by showing up shortly after 6 a.m. and removing the barricades under fire until they were able to shut the green doors to the mosque and lock the Arab “worshippers” inside.
The YouTube concludes by showing a group of Jews walking on the Temple Mount, without the usual presence of an Arab riot.
The fact that the police chose to release the video showing Arabs desecrating their own holy place with rubble and shooting from inside the mosque, along with the final clip of Jews walking freely on the Temple Mount, perhaps – just perhaps – indicates a change in the policy that generally has allowed Arabs to violently chase Jews away.
“One swallow does not a summer make,” and one day that Jews can ascend the Temple Mount without being attacked does not mean the Temple Mount has returned to Jewish sovereignty.
But one day is better than none.
