The days of the red cape and Superman are long gone;  nowadays one surfs the Net and buys ISIS chotchkes to become Jihad John. But it’s getting pretty costly to be a wannabe member of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group. Especially if you want to buy all the right accouterments to look the part.

After all, you can’t just go out and behead any old victim you want and think that will win you brownie points with your heroes. First you need to get gussied up a bit. And besides, all that killing is too messy and takes too much time and money; it’s a big production in terms of strategy, effort, human resources, logistics…. you get the idea.

But for someone who just wants to dip their little tootsies in the water, so to speak — ah, well, Amazon has a little something for everyone. No matter where you are. And even Facebook is becoming a regular haven of creative … um…. ways, these days.

Check it out, check it out.

On Facebook, the “Baqiyah Creation” page – based in Toulouse, France (gee, is that a surprise?) — advertises a black “tawhid” ski mask – so you can look just like an authentic terrorist for only 15 euros. (one euro = $1.28, or NIS 4.69) “Baqiyah” by the way, is the slogan of ISIS. It’s a phrase in Urdu that means, “and it remained.”

A black tee shirt with the “Baqiyah” slogan and logo is also available for those who want to take it a step further. A big white fist is squarely positioned right on the solar plexus.

But if you’re surfing the web and you’ve got the money to pay, ride on over down to Amazon way, and have a look at “Shahada” which sells a 2′ x 3′ Black Islamic Sunni Muslim Flag for $49.99.

The vendor cautions the buyer, however, in BIG letters: PLEASE NOTE THIS BATCH OF FLAGS SUFFERED SLIGHT INPERFECTIONS DURING PRINTING PROCESS.  ARE YOU INTO COLLECTING RARE AND HARD TO FIND ITEMS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD? THEN DONT LET THIS PIECE PASS YOU BY!

You got that?

The same vendor also offers a Shahada flag featuring a semi-automatic rifle ($25.99), and a Shahada flag with the classic Islamic saying on it, “There is no God but Allah, and He is One ($49.99).

Then there are the customer reviews, which are all are deeply encouraging. I was personally very moved.

“BOYCOTT AMAZON!!” blares one. “I will not buy from Amazon till these #ISIS terrorist flags are removed. There actually is one with a machine gun on it too! Maybe if you buy both your customers can get a free video of Americans beheaded… shameful!!”

Another writes, “This is heinous. It is sedition. I am appalled, shocked beyond belief… You are spitting on America, Christians and all peoples whom this group has and is slaughtering!”

A third commentator notes that the flag “looks better upside down,” and suggests it is “great for cleaning a greasy engine, picking up dog waste or target practice!”

Another suggests the flag “makes for a great fire starter” and says the “fabric burns swift and fast! Can even be used for a drop cloth while changing your oil or working under your vehicle. However do not attempt to use this as toilet paper as it causes severe rashes!”

Finally, one writer notes, “The great thing about freedom is that it isn’t compatible with those that feel free to murder innocent people, in the most gruesome and barbaric methods, and then brag about it by selling merchandise. I hope you’re caught funneling your proceeds to the terrorists, and I’m seriously considering cancelling my Amazon account – I’m hoping that the allowance of the selling of this murderous clarion call rag is merely an oversight on the part of Amazon. isis (sic) is nothing more than backwards and murderous garbage from the 7th Century, and it’s time that we take out the trash.”
